what sort of a name is arjumya? many of my friends asked me this question. initially i browsed through websites that list indian names and short-listed a few. but the problem was that i had some family, friend or acquaintance with those names. i feared that it might seem like a personal attack on them. one solution was to synthesize a completely new name. i had come across a hindustan times article that said "arjun" and "maya" were the most popular indian baby names in the US. so i decided to combine those two words into a single word -- "arjumya"!
